Justice League is getting a new logo featuring a familiar looking star.
Justice league is one of the original superhero team by DC which made its debut in 1960. Now in celebration of the team’s 60th anniversary, Justice League is getting a redo on their logo design for the comic.
Along with the release of issue #25 next month, the new logo appears as something DC fans must recognize. The new logo looks like it’s inspired by several past prior logos, featuring a font that is reminiscent of the 90s Justice League titles, clean lines from the 80s logo and the signature star that has been around these recent years.
The signature star was actually older than these few years. The first Justice League’s logo had its debut on the cover by Mike Sekowsky and Murphy Anderson on December 29, 1959. It placed ‘Justice League’ in red, white and blue against a black field with quite a lot of red stars. This logo was used on the title for over 27 years, from 1960 to 1987.
Justice League #25 also marks not just the new logo but the beginning of DC’s summer event ‘Year of Villain’. This issue will be available in comic book stores and digitally on June 5th, 2019. Head to www.dccomics.com for more of the latest news and updates on DC and Justice League.
